John and Joan Barnes
The tranquil village of St Francis Bay, with meandering waterways and abundant birdlife is a mere hour drive from Port Elizabeth. 14 Peter Road offers quality accommodation in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. 14 Peter Road is centrally situated within walking distance of the St Francis Bay Golf Course, the pristine St Francis Bay beach, the village shopping and restaurant area.
John followed a career in the pharmaceutical industry and Joan as an Interior Designer. In 2004 decided to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle and move to their dream location, St Francis Bay. In the winter months John pursues his passion for hunting and as a Professional Hunter takes clients to experience and enjoy the excitement of hunting in South Africa.
Joan spends leisure time painting flowers, birds and wildlife in watercolor. As a qualified Field Guide, and passionate birdwatcher she is happy to share with others the diverse wildlife of the areas in and around St Francis Bay. Her love of animals and birds drew her to the Penguin Rescue and Rehabilitation centre in Cape St Francis where she helps with feeding, washing and taking care of marine birds.
